Mr. & Mrs. Loop
St. Francis de Sales | Dominique's Wine Boutique
Married: May 3, 2025
Julia and Tyler’s wedding weekend was filled with so much joy, love, and celebration. It all began on Thursday evening with a beautiful rehearsal dinner at Ember Kitchen + Cocktails. The setting was warm and welcoming, and the speeches from family and friends were incredibly heartfelt. It was the perfect way to begin such a special weekend.
On Saturday morning, I arrived at Julia’s parents’ home where the girls were wrapping up hair and makeup. The atmosphere was full of excitement and anticipation. Julia’s sweet dog, Donna, made an appearance with the bridal party and added such a fun, personal touch to the morning. The girls popped champagne, music was playing, and everyone was in great spirits.
One of the most anticipated moments of the day was Julia’s dress reveal. No one had seen her gown before, and the bridesmaids had all been trying to guess what it would look like. When Julia finally stepped out, their reactions were priceless. It was such a sweet and emotional moment that set the tone for the rest of the day.
When Jamie arrived with the guys, they were already dressed and ready to go. Tyler and his friends got ready that morning at the Courtyard Marriott. The atmosphere was relaxed and upbeat as they prepared for the big day. After getting dressed, they headed to St. Francis de Sales for portraits in the courtyard before the ceremony. It was a wonderful group of guys who were supportive, easygoing, and clearly excited to stand beside Tyler as he married the love of his life.
The ceremony was held at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Father Jay officiated and did a beautiful job, just as he always does. The setting was both elegant and timeless, and the ceremony felt deeply meaningful.
Following the ceremony and formal portraits, guests gathered at Dominique’s Wine Boutique for a lovely afternoon reception. The weather was absolutely perfect for an outdoor celebration. A cool breeze drifted in along the bayou, and guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while taking in the view.
The band Souled Out brought amazing energy and quickly got everyone on the dance floor. One of the standout moments of the reception was the live painter, Alex Harvie, who was a huge hit with guests. People kept stopping by to watch the painting come to life, and it added such a unique element to the celebration.
As the afternoon came to a close, sunglasses were passed around, and the dance floor stayed lively right up until the final moments. Julia and Tyler ended their celebration with an epic confetti popper send-off, which made for a fun and memorable exit.
Having photographed Julia’s sister Courtney’s wedding last year, it was such an honor to be welcomed back by this incredible family. They truly made me feel like part of the celebration again, and I am so grateful to have been a part of both of their special days.
Julia and Tyler, thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding day. It was a joy to be there, and I hope these images bring back every beautiful memory of such a perfect weekend. Congratulations again!
– Crystal
