Hi, I’m Crystal. I’m a South Louisiana native who has pretty much always had a camera in hand. My photography journey actually started way back in high school.

Funny enough, I originally thought I wanted to be a dental hygienist. I gave it a shot, but after my first year of college, I quickly realized I was not where I was meant to be. My dad encouraged me to take some classes I would enjoy, so I signed up for a few art courses. That was the moment everything shifted, and honestly, the rest is history.

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Art with a concentration in photography from Nicholls State University. In 2007, I officially launched Crystal Sanderson Photography. Since then, I have photographed more than 400 weddings, and I still get excited before every single one.

More than anything, I truly love what I do. I care deeply about people, their stories, and creating something meaningful that will last for generations.

Along the way, I also married my high school sweetheart. Together, we’re raising two incredible kids who bring us so much joy.

When I am not behind the camera, you will find me spending time with my family, cheering on our kids at cross country and track meets, or relaxing at home with our Goldendoodle. I also enjoy browsing antique shops, trying new restaurants, reading a good book, and sipping on a cold glass of lemonade. It is always lemonade for me.
