Mr. & Mrs. Wilson
Southern Oaks Plantation
Married: October 15, 2021
Carly was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed a year ago and I just fell in love with her bubbly personality. When she contacted me at the beginning of the year about her wedding, I was so excited to be working with her. As the days drew closer to her wedding date, I began to get more and more excited about all the details she had planned.
It was a perfect October day! Not too cold & not too hot!!! When I arrived at their condo, the room was filled with excitement. Great music was playing, hair & makeup was being done, lots of giggles & singing. Carly & Cliff have such a great group of friends that are so happy for them.
They chose to have a first look on the rooftop of their condo. When I scoped the location out, I knew it was going to be magical. We prayed for clouds before heading to the rooftop and God surely answered our prayer. It was absolutely perfect!!! I probably said 50 times, this is so beautiful!
After portraits, the entire bridal party loaded a trolly car to head to Southern Oaks Plantation. Carly and her Dad entered the ceremony on horse & carriage. Pastor Steve, from First Baptist Church of Houma, officiated the ceremony & as always did a beautiful job. At the end of the ceremony everyone celebrated with fireworks! The reception then followed inside for amazing food, dancing & fun. A Cafè Du Monde truck was parked outside for fresh beignets and coffee. From giggles from the photobooth to second lining, the night was a blast. At the end of the night, their wedding coordinator emptied the venue and Carly & Cliff ended the night with a dance all alone to “It had to be you” by Frank Sinatra. Everyone waited outside for a glow stick exit.
I can honestly say, the wedding day was absolutely perfect! It was so magical and I’m so honored that Carly & Cliff picked me to document their wedding day. It was such a beautiful evening celebrating two becoming one. Every single detail was planned out so perfectly.
Cliff will be leaving soon to serve our country. Cliff, we want to thank you for your sacrifice to serve our country. I do not take my freedom for granted and I’m grateful every day there are people like you who put their lives on the line. My God protect and watch over you.
Here are a few of my favorites from your amazing day! Congratulations again! I’m so happy for the two of you.
God Bless,
Crystal
