I have been looking forward to this wedding for some time now. I fell in love with Valerie and Todd’s personalities after meeting them for the first time. We had so much fun for their engagement portraits, that I knew we would have a great time for their wedding. They are so much fun to be around and have such a great group of friends.
The day started out rainy and windy, but the sun came out just as I arrived at the Dansereau House. I love this house so much. It really is the perfect place to get ready on a wedding day. When I entered the bridal suite, I was immediately greeted with familiar faces. Valerie and her bridesmaids were so calm and ready for the evening.
Valerie and Todd were married at Cypress Columns in Gray. Their ceremony was so beautiful. It was short and sweet. I love when the Justice of the Peace, Kenny Hamner, gives his Cajun blessing at the end. It’s such a special touch to the ceremony, especially for guest that are from out of town.
The reception then followed inside and DJ, Quinn Landry, was ready to get the party started. It was a night filled with great food, fun and laughter. I smiled the whole time thinking how great it felt to be celebrating this couple with all their friends and family. They have such a great support system and are surrounded by so people that love them.
