Where do I even start with this precious couple!!!  I fell in love instantly with Ahlanna and her amazing Mom, Heather when we first met.  They have been so fun to work with and I cannot even begin to express how very honored and thankful I am to photograph this wedding.  The entire family has been so appreciative every step of the way. They are the type of people that make my job a dream.  

I began my day with the girls at Herman Cook’s home on Main Street in Houma.  I have been dying to photograph here for some time now.  I was in photographer heaven!  It’s the perfect location for getting ready.  After Ahlanna was ready, I asked Ahlanna’s Dad, Rory to go into the living room.  I know I ambushed him but the moment he saw his beautiful daughter in her dress was just priceless.  It will be a moment I will never forget.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.  It was a beautiful moment of a father about to give his beautiful daughter away. 

Ahlanna and Blake were married on the grounds at Cypress Columns.  Ahlanna’s Uncle Vicenç officiated the ceremony.  They had two beautiful readings and made sure to thank their family for being so supportive throughout their life.  The weather and ceremony were just beautiful.  They couldn’t have asked for a better day to get married.  It is definitely what every Southern girl dreams of when planning an outdoor ceremony. 

The reception followed inside. Ahlanna’s Uncle made a memorable toast and then DJ Percy got the party started.  One thing that I loved that Ahlanna and Blake did for their reception was they had their guest request their favorite song on their RSVP.  Everyone got to hear their favorite song and the dance floor was never empty.

Ahlanna and Blake, I cannot thank you enough for choosing me to document your day.  You both are so very kind and appreciative.  You both thanked me throughout the night, and I cannot tell you both how much that means to me.  I hope you two are enjoying your 1st week of marriage.
