Mr. & Mrs. Corcoran

St. Francis de Sales Cathedral | Ellendale Country Club

Married: July 6, 2024

Our last wedding of the summer was truly special for me. Where do I even begin? This wasn’t just another wedding; it was a family celebration I've been eagerly anticipating since I got the text asking if I was available. Kaitlyn and I share the same great-grandmother (Maw Maw Pizzolato). Her grandfather and my grandmother were siblings, and the Pizzolato family has always been so generous to me. I can't thank them enough for trusting me with their photography over the years. I've captured several milestones in Kaitlyn's life, and I am incredibly grateful to have photographed her and Mikey's wedding day.

I met Mikey for the first time during their engagement session and instantly saw how much he adores Kaitlyn. He is kind, generous, and truly thankful—these two are made for each other. And the best part? I got to capture it all and meet their wonderful friends and family. Everyone made us feel so welcomed and loved!

Their wedding felt like stepping into a fairytale. The day started at Kaitlyn's parents' home, where I was greeted with familiar faces. Hair and makeup were finishing up, and soon, Kaitlyn was getting into her gorgeous wedding gown for a first look with Mikey at Ellendale Country Club. Meanwhile, Mikey was getting ready at the Courtyard Marriott. The room was filled with laughter and fun. The men headed downstairs for some fantastic portraits and fun at the hotel.

Mikey and Kaitlyn's decision to have a first look before the ceremony was brilliant. Witnessing Mikey's reaction upon seeing Kaitlyn was unforgettable. After capturing some breathtaking portraits with Kaitlyn's grandfather's antique car, family portraits, and bridal party portraits, we made our way to St. Francis de Sales Cathedral for the ceremony.

The ceremony was beautiful. I always love photographing at St. Francis, but it’s even more special when Father Jay officiates. An added bonus was Mikey's priest, Father Buddy, who gave a beautiful homily. He and Father Jay had us all giggling with stories of the couple and having them kiss several times during the ceremony. The congregation roared with applause when Father Jay pronounced Mikey and Kaitlyn husband and wife.

After the ceremony, we took a few portraits in the church and had a ribbon exit before heading to Ellendale Country Club to celebrate. Wow, wow, wow... Kellie Brunet did a phenomenal job decorating. The reception was stunning. Rouge Krewe got the celebration started, and the dance floor was never empty. Everyone had so much fun celebrating the couple.

Being a part of weddings like this is such an honor. Mikey and Kaitlyn made us smile, laugh, and remember why wedding days are so joyful. I hope you enjoy this gorgeous couple as much as we did! Their smiles and joy are contagious! To Mikey and Kaitlyn's family, thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us the honor to document such an amazing day!

God Bless,

Crystal
