Shadowlawn Plantation | Church of the Assumption | The Forest

Married: December 18, 2021

I first met Katie at her sisters wedding in 2019. I instantly fell in love with the Robichaux family and was so excited when Katie contacted me about her BIG day.

When I arrived at Katie's parents home, I was immediately greeted with familiar faces. The house was filled with family and friends finishing up last minute touches before the first look at Shadowlawn Plantation. We were all excited that the weather predicted for the day had held off and Katie & Luke were able to see each other in front of the plantation like we had planned. We were able to capture all of the bridal party and family portraits. Just as we were finishing up we saw the sky turn black and ran for cover to the church.

I've been dying to photograph in Church of the Assumption in Franklin. I've passed by it so many times and always dreamed of photographing in this beautiful church. Father Joel added so many beautiful touches to the ceremony and these two finally became husband & wife.

After a few portraits in the church, we headed to The Forest for a night of fun. 5th Avenue got the party started quick and I don't think the dance floor was empty the entire night. Katie & Luke had a private dance at the very end and everyone celebrated the end of the night with snow (shaved coconut).

One of my favorite things about my job is when I get the honor of being invited back to document a siblings wedding. It’s such a privilege and a joy to be asked back into a family’s life for one of their biggest celebrations.  I can't thank the Robichaux family enough for trusting me to document two of their daughters weddings.

Here are a few of my favorites from your amazing night.  Congratulations again!
