I met Lily for her brother’s wedding in 2018. The Barber family is one of the sweetest families and I’m so honored to be invited back to document another wedding for them.
When I entered the executive room at the Hilton, I was immediately greeted with familiar faces. Lily was so excited to be marrying her sweetheart. The day was filled with so many surprises and traditions that I have never seen in all my years as a photographer. I hope to suggest some of these when my children get married one day. It was a beautiful day celebrating two people in love.
Nathaniel and Lillian were married at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Their ceremony was so very special. The couple has a very close relationship with Reverend John. He blessed them with two beautiful gifts during their ceremony. It was very heartfelt, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the sanctuary. Nathaniel built the kneelers for the ceremony as a surprise. After the ceremony, Nathaniel and Lily gifted two of the kneelers to their parents.
The reception then followed to Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center. From speeches, toast, washing of Lily’s feet to second lining, the day was filled with beautiful traditions, laughter and love.
I smiled the whole way home thinking of how precious this couple is. They have a true love for each other and the Lord. I know God is going to use them in so many ways during their marriage. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their beautiful day!
