After every wedding, when I get home, my husband always asks…. How was the wedding?  My response was… It was amazing!  I have been looking forward to this wedding for a while.  Shelby booked me back in the summer of 2019 and I have been anticipating this wedding for a long time.  I met Shelby in 2016 when I photographed her best friend’s wedding and fell in love with her instantly.  She is so very kind, thoughtful and sincere.  You can’t help but fall in love with her the minute you meet her.  

Shelby & Rob are such a sweet couple.  We had such a blast during their engagement session, I knew the wedding was going to be fun.  They have been together for so long and I know everyone was so excited to witness them getting married.  I’m so very blessed to be the one to document their special day.  

I began my day with Shelby at her Mom’s house.  Shelby’s mom’s home was filled with fresh flowers, laughter & excitement.  It was super cold and rainy but that didn’t stop Shelby and her crew from having a great time.  

Shelby & Rob were married at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville.  As I rounded the corner on Mississippi Street, I knew it was going to be gorgeous inside.  Wow!!!… was my first impression walking in.  Of all my years being a photographer, this was my first time photographing in this church.  It is absolutely beautiful.  Father Dupre’ did a beautiful job on the ceremony.   

The reception followed to Palazzo Bernardo.  The band, Rewind, was ready to get the dance floor filled and it didn’t take long.  Shelby & Rob’s guests danced the entire night. My favorite memory of the reception was the song New York, New York dedicated to Shelby’s late father.  Everyone joined in and it will be a memory I will never forget.  It was a beautiful night, and everyone truly celebrated the couple. 

Shelby & Rob, I cannot thank you enough for inviting me into your life and choosing me to document such an important day.  It is truly an honor and I don’t take it lightly.  You two are an amazing couple and I know you will have a wonderful marriage.  I hope you are enjoying your first week of marriage.  Here is a little sneak peek of some of our favorite images from your amazing night.
